Through the direction of the Tomlinson Center Board and with the blessings of the General Presbyters, the Tomlinson Center is in partnership with the Church of God School of Ministry in the CIMS program. CIMS (Certificate In Ministerial Studies) offers ministerial training in three ways, individual study, via the Internet or the preferred fashion, in a Distance Learning Center (DLC) with five or more.

CIMS presently has 21 courses, offering 42 credits. After completing 12 hours of Tomlinson Center courses (four classes), up to 32 hours of CIMS credit may be transferred in for full college credit.

These courses may be offered in your local church, district, state, region or nation.  Through this program, you can offer on-going leadership development and training that may be transferred for college credit.

AVERAGE COSTS

  • Internet—$80 per hour
    No DVDs. No percentage returned.

  • Individual Study—$142 per hour
You keep the DVDs, building your personal Leadership Development Library.

  • DLC (Distance Learning Centers)—$80 per hour
With five or more students, a free set of DVDs (average $12.50 each). Learn in a group setting. The more involved, the larger financial return to your DLC.
